SF JOB READY — App Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

These Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SF Job Ready web application (the "App"), including the creation and use of any account within the App. The App is operated by USA Job Ready ("USA Job Ready," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App, creating an account, or otherwise interacting with the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to account-level information (your name, email address, organization or affiliation, and login credentials). Separate program-level agreements govern session content, assessment results, and practice data.
Use of the App constitutes your acknowledgment that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. We may revise these Terms at any time; material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
The App is intended for individuals at least 18 years of age, including SF Job Ready program participants, program staff, facilitators, and authorized partner representatives.
You must create an account using accurate and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify us at usajobready@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts if these Terms are violated. You may request account closure at any time by contacting us.
We collect account-level information you provide: name, email address, organization or affiliation, and login credentials. The App does not store participant case records, criminal history, audio or video recordings, or other program-level content as part of your account profile.
We also automatically collect limited technical information: IP address and general geographic location, browser/device type, and aggregate usage analytics — used for App performance, security, and product development.
We use your account information to: create and maintain your account; send transactional communications; maintain records necessary to administer the App; evaluate and improve App security and performance; and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not use your account information for research publication in identified form. Anonymized or aggregated usage data may be used for internal research and program improvement.
By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional communications (password resets, security notices, scheduling and logistics notices). These are not promotional and cannot be opted out of while your account is active. To stop receiving all communications, close your account.
The App may use cookies or similar technologies to support basic functionality, security, and aggregate analytics. We do not use these technologies to build advertising profiles or sell personal information. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it: with service providers operating on our behalf; with program staff directly involved in administering the program; if required by law or legal process; in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice); or with your consent.
We retain your account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, unless a longer period is required by law or you request deletion.
As a matter of practice, we extend California CCPA rights to all users: the right to know what information was collected, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. If we discover a breach compromising your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you within 30 calendar days of discovery, consistent with California Civil Code § 1798.82.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through the App. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
The App is not directed to individuals under 18. If we become aware of inadvertent collection of information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.
All content in the App — text, graphics, logos, curriculum descriptions, and overall look and feel — is the property of USA Job Ready or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent, except for your own personal, non-commercial use in connection with the SF Job Ready program.
Creating an account does not guarantee acceptance into, continuation in, or any particular outcome from the SF Job Ready program. Program participation is governed by separate criteria and agreements.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, USA JOB READY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless USA Job Ready and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.
The App may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of any linked third-party site.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
